A Jacket that Came into my Life

Can a piece of clothing change your life.   Well I can safely say yes.    Just 10 years ago tonight I came upon a beautiful long black theatre coat with the most amazing floral lining and hand embroidered flower on the Back a sure show stopper by all means....I said I must have that jacket...little did I know at the time that this jacket was designed with Love from a beautiful woman named Carol Anderson....I checked it out further and she  was also the owner of a small company called CAbi....Carol Anderson By Invitation.   The clothes were unique not ones that you would find in the store...the patterns, the hints of Chanel, Dior and Lauren were there but in a way that every woman could wear....I  spent the last 10 years of my life bringing these clothes to life and meeting some of the most amazing women along the way and proud to say that they became my friends as well...So Thank you Carol and Kimberly for some of the best 10 years of my life.....

A Season To Change

Fall is upon us and so are the great fashions of the season....Fur is everywhere be it faux or not,  Lets give a hand to the hunting games and outlander looks....dark hunter green wools, camel and red are the palette. Floral for Fall who would of thought but this season a fall flower is it...Some styles to be on the lookout for are wide leg pants they are everywhere and the gaucho or short pant is here for a visit.    Your great neutral is grey and navy and of course black.     The last trend or even lifestyle trend is to be minimalistic-keep it simple one great necklace or belt not both....or even one amazing pair of earings....let's take that to your lifestyle...sometimes cutting back or changing your life to make it simple is not a bad thing...so embrace change  AND WELCOME FALL

You Must Remember This

Department Store Renaissance....Have you been buying everything online without the personal touch of a compliment or lack of the feel factor...  Well we all know online shopping and ecommerce  is trending but the reality is the public is almost fed up with this  non personal approach.   In fact Neiman Marcus  and Nordstrom are opening their first ever Manhattan flagships.   The Department store is not dead yet.   Those Glory days of trunk shows models walking around with the latest looks and a glimpse into the world of Glamor could be returning....Now I know from personal experience that the relationship rather than the transaction is the mantra at Cabi.    Carol Anderson By Invitation. SPRING 2015 TRENDS:   First I would like to say how sad I am to hear about what occurred in Paris this past week.  A city that most of us associate with Fashion, Romance and Beauty.......When Chanel  presented their line for spring the backdrop was Boulevard Chanel :  A city street scene...but when Karl Lagerfeld's models took to the ruway/street they were toting protest signs with slogans...a sign of the times.  So taking it to the streets is a time honored French Tradition.  A bit of a 1970s feminist flare.  "MAKE FASHION NOT WAR.....AND TWEED IS  BETTER THAN TWEET."   Chanel delivered lots of  splotches of watercolor, white lace yokes, sober navy tailoring lots of pant suits.   Here is the list of Top Ten Trends for Spring 2015
