The Style of Two Cities

So its the launch of Fall in the Fashion World from Home Trunk shows like Cabi to attending fashion shows at stores like Saks Fifth Avenue or even shopping.....I have noticed a big decline in Traffic.....Maybe it is too hot but beyond that there is this grunge look on the streets from the West Coast of Seattle to the East Coast of New York.....Now ladies-the 90's might be back but there is still such great style to see....unfortunately designers might have to switch from the Streets to find their inspiration....flip flops, bad fitting leggings, loose tees do not constitute a great look....Fashion is and always will be a reflection of you so lets get back in the game--stop worrying about the political arena- lets get out there get inspired- go into the stores go to that Trunk show and enjoy yourself....Now fashion you can control....and lets give our lap tops a rest--Your Stylists at the stores and at these trunk shows give you actual feedback....So enjoy this Fall with all the rich colors-patterns furs leathers etc....It's time to make "You Great Again"....

The Battle Of Versailles: Is this War or Fashion I am talking about....read on my friends.....

I am talking about the Fashion show of all Fashion Shows....the year is 1973..This was to benefit the
restoration of
Versailles,  the runway show pitted the American ready-to-wear designers against
their French haute-couture counterparts.  In the American corner we have Halston, Oscar De La Renta,  Bill Blass, Anne Klein and Stephen Burrows,  Representing France was Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan for Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, Emanuel Ungaro and Pierre Cardin.   This was the night American Fashion Stumbled into the Spotlight and made history.  It was the spirit that was exhibited by the Americans---Well we are back and at the spotlight this fall is  Oscar De La Renta with a very 18th century feel and look- it reminds me of my favorite show  Outlander.

Well this Fall season's top trend  is filled with the 18th century renaissance woman . Ruffles,   bell sleeves, corsets, beautiful rich fabrics and patterns check out the Fall looks from Oscar De la Renta.  The power suit is also making a play this season.   I especially love the new suits from Cabi .  Cabionline.com.    The colors this season are exuberant pops of vibrant colors--blues, red, bright greens mustard yellow , crimson, and a bodacious purple/pink ...back to neutral grey and camel and winter white.    High shine fabrics,  small capes, the statement choker, david bowie boots, hoodies, 80's power one shoulder,  velvet, jumpers, grey plaid, cross body fur stoles, and gloves...Wow is that enough...we made up for this past spring.....lots to look for .   And now you can find me at Saks Atlanta ....your very own personal shopper.....https://outlander-online.com/http://www.oscardelarenta.com/?utm_source=Bing_Yahoo&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=oscar+de+la+renta&utm_campaign=ODR_B_USA_TM_EXACT_TM

TO TUCK OR NOT TO TUCK....AND I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT PLASTIC SURGERY

SEE WHAT I DID THERE? IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, TUCKING A SHIRT IN OR THE LACK THEREOF IS A CRUCIAL DECISION WHEN DRESSING ONE'S SELF.

SO HERE ARE TWO VOGUE WRITERS WEARING THE TUCKED OR NOT TUCKED LOOK FOR THIS SPRING....MY OPINION IS LET IT ALL HANG OUT....DEPENDING ON YOUR PANT....IF YOU ARE WEARING A BOYFRIEND CUT, SITTING LOWER ON THE WAIST THEN BY ALL MEANS FRONT TUCK THAT SHIRT...BUT IF YOUR PANT IS HIGHER WAISTED OR SKINNY LET IT ALL HANG OUT.....

Fresh New Start

So it's the new year...I'm feeling a bit blue but it's not because it's January....My inspiration for my clients this season comes from both sides of the Continent.  Paris with the Amazing Karl Lagerfeld Chanel-and of course my favorite-Ralph Lauren...both felt a deep desire to show some patriotic colors for their country  so here comes the red white and blue--the red could be a bit orange in tone . lots of geometrics and stripes...metallics, lower hemlines, palazzo pants short as well as long-even a match your hat to your outfit to your bag....black and white....jumpsuits still trending but with a wider leg.   Here are the Spring 2016 Pantone colors of the Season :
Rose Quartz-Peach Echo -Serenity-Snorkel Blue-Buttercup yellow-Fiesta Red-Lilac Grey-back to Iced CoffeeTan-Limpet Shell-blue-and bright Green Flash...So if you have not booked that trip to Capri-Brazil-or somewhere in the Caribbean what are you waiting for......See you this Spring.
